What is a MariDeal gift card?

A MariDeal gift card is a prepaid card that allows the recipient to enjoy exclusive  MariDeal offers. It provides a convenient and flexible way to treat the recipient with a wide range of discounted deals ranging from hotel stays, day packages, restaurants, spas or experience offers. Whether it's a relaxing getaway or a thrilling adventure, a MariDeal gift card offers a world of possibilities to the lucky recipient.

Where can I purchase a MariDeal gift card?

There are two ways for customers to purchase a MariDeal gift card:

1. Physical gift card 

A MariDeal gift card can be purchased at any MariDeal agency. We currently have agencies at GBLC, Grand Bay, La City, Trianon and Caudan Waterfront, Port-Louis. 

1. E-gift card 

The MariDeal e-gift card can be purchased directly via the Site. Simply visit our Site and look for the gift card tab on our menu. Once You are on the Gift Card page, simply: 

1. Choose a design or upload your own image 
2. Enter the details regarding the value, recipient’s name, delivery email and the name on behalf of whom the gift is being sent 
3. Wrap up with a personalized message to the recipient  
4. Select the quantity and delivery date; then
5. Click "send" to complete the purchase

How to use your gift card?

Step 1: Visit MariDeal and select any of our fantastic live offers. 

• If you have an account, simply log in with your email and password.
• If you don't have an account, you'll need to register by providing your first name, last name, and a valid email address.

Step 2: Choose the deal you want by clicking the "Book Now" button, which will take you to your Shopping Cart.

Step 3: Review the information related to your booking and proceed to the Billing Details section.

Step 4: In the "Rewards & gift cards" section, select the Gift card option.

Step 5: Choose the "Use Gift card to check out" option and enter the gift code found on your gift card T-XXXX-XXX). Click on "Add gift card ".

Note:

• If the amount on your gift card is less than the total cost of the booking, you can pay the difference to complete your reservation.
• If the amount on your gift card is more than the total cost, the remaining balance will be available in your account and can be used for future purchases on MariDeal.

What happens if I cancel a booking made with gift cards? Will my points and gift cards be refunded?

If you cancel a pre-booking or booking, your points, gift cards, and store credits will be refunded directly to your MariDeal account. You can then use them for your next purchase.

How to add a gift card to my account?

If you wish to add one or more gift cards to your account, you can do so from the "My account" section after logging in and clicking on the "gift card" option in the drop-down menu.

On the gift card section, you will be able to view all the status of the gift cards that are on your account.

To add a gift card, click on the option "Add a gift card", as displayed in the above image, input your gift card code and finalize the process.

You will have the ability to use the gift cards already associated with your account on the checkout page, without the need to input it again.

What is the minimum value to load on a gift card?

The minimum value is currently set at Rs. 500 and is not capped. 

Can I use a MariDeal gift card to book any deal on the Site?

Yes, you can use a MariDeal gift card to book any deal available on the Site. MariDeal gift cards are designed to provide you with flexibility and freedom when choosing and purchasing deals. 

Does the MariDeal gift card have an expiry date?

Yes, the gift card has a validity period of one (1) year from its date of purchase. It is recommended to utilize the gift card within the stated validity period to benefit from the exceptional deals and promotions. 

Can I reload or top up a MariDeal gift card?

MariDeal does not offer the option to reload or top up gift cards. Once the value of the gift card has been used or depleted, it cannot be reloaded with additional funds. It is typically purchased for a specific denomination, and the value of the card remains fixed. 

Can I redeem a MariDeal gift card for cash?

A MariDeal gift card cannot be exchanged for cash, or cash equivalent, resold, or transferred for value. However, a MariDeal gift card can be used to purchase another gift card. Once a MariDeal gift card has been purchased and activated, it holds a specific value that can only be used towards the purchase of deals and experiences on the MariDeal platform. It is important to carefully consider the amount You wish to load onto the gift card, as it cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash once it has been redeemed towards a purchase.

Can I use a MariDeal gift card partially and save the remaining balance for later?

Yes, You can use a gift card partially and save the remaining balance for future use, which remains available for use towards future purchases. To check your remaining balance, go to your “Gift card balance” which appears on your Customer Account. 

What if my Gift card balance is insufficient to complete a booking?

If your MariDeal Gift card balance is insufficient to cover the full cost of a booking, you will need to provide an additional form of payment to complete the transaction. When making a booking on the Site, you will have the option to enter your gift card and apply the available balance towards the payment. 

Can I combine multiple MariDeal gift cards for a single purchase?

Yes, you can combine multiple MariDeal gift cards for a single purchase. MariDeal allows customers to use multiple gift cards to pay for a single transaction. 

My gift card has expired, what can I do?

We understand that You may have forgotten to make use of your gift card within the validity time limit. Within one (1) month following the expiry date, should You wish to redeem the gift card, you may contact customercare@marideal.mu, and they'll be happy to assist. The request for extension will be granted on a case-by-case basis. 

Can I transfer my MariDeal Gift card to someone else?

The gift card is not transferable. Once a MariDeal gift card is issued or purchased, it is intended for the sole use of the original recipient.

Can I use a MariDeal gift card in conjunction with other promotions or discounts?

Yes, You can. This means that You can enjoy the benefits of both the discounted deals or promotions and the value stored on your MariDeal gift card. 

Can I use a MariDeal gift card to purchase multiple deals at once?

Yes, you can use a MariDeal Gift card to purchase multiple deals at once. During checkout, You will have the option to enter the gift card details.

How can I check the balance on my MariDeal gift card?

To check the balance on your MariDeal gift card, you can log in to your MariDeal account and visit the "My Account" section. From there, select the gift card from the menu, and you will be able to view the status and balances of all your associated gift cards.
